Minor Requirements
Minor in Neuroscience for Majors in Trinity College
(Majors in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University, see text below graphic)
- minimum of 5 courses from gateway courses, core courses and electives
- 4 courses must be at 100 level or higher
- at least 2 courses must be from the core or gateway offerings (with a maximum of one gateway course)
(allied courses do not count, except by permission of the Director of Undergraduate Studies in Neuroscience)
Note: no more than two of the five courses required for the Minor may be used to satisfy the requirements of another major, minor or certificate.
Minor in Neuroscience for Majors in the Pratt School of Engineering
Minimum of 5 courses from gateway courses, core courses and electives
- the gateway course for the Minor will be NEUROSCI 101 Biological Basis of Behavior: Introduction and Survey (unless admitted to Exploring the Mind Focus Program)
- the next course will be NEUROSCI 114 Fundamentals of Neuroscience (also counted as a life science elective for BME majors) or one of the other core courses in Neuroscience (NEUROSCI 112, 115 or 116)
- BME 201L / NEUROSCI 201L Electrobiology should then be taken next
- lastly, two electives that are not cross-listed between NEUROSCI and BME and do not satisfy any other requirement for a BME major should be completed
